Carol Noonan Swartz, 84, of Fort Mill SC entered her heavenly home on January 7, 2021. She was known for her devotion to her family and her church. Her firm belief in God provided her comfort and strength throughout her life. Carol was born on July 28, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to Charlotte in 1974 and to Fort Mill in 2001. She worked in the System Business Office at Atrium Health for 28 years before retiring in 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Noonan and Mildred Carroll Noonan, bother Jack Noonan and daughters Leslie Christine Swartz and Linda Carol Harden. Carol is survived by five children: Bob Swartz Jr (wife, Kathy) of Weddington NC, Lisa Swartz of Fort Mill SC, Laura Dellinger of Charlotte NC, Keith Swartz (wife, Lori) of Indian Land SC and Jeff Swartz of Charlotte NC; as well as a sister, Eileen Nunney of Twinsburg Ohio. She also leaves behind 22 loving grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Carol will be remembered as a gentle, kind and loving woman who gave freely of herself. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday January 14, 2021 at 11:30am at St Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Rd E in Fort Mill SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Philip Neri Future Growth and Expansion Fund.
