Robert Leroy Lundberg Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Leroy Lundberg, 72, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, peaceful passed away at his home on July 9th, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Robert was born on May 23, 1950, in Jamestown, New York to Roy and Della Lundberg. Robert graduated from Jamestown High School in 1968 and continued on to Premium Tool & Die to start his Journeyman certification. Robert dedicated himself to the trade doing whatever needed to prove himself as a faithful and loyal student, including digging a ditch for his mentor. Robert went on to start his own machine shop where he had much success, including building an injection mold for the toy giant, MATTEL, that produced parts for Barbie’s Dream House. After the passing of his beloved wife, Rhonda, Robert relocated to Harrisburg, North Carolina in 1992 with his cherished daughters, Lori and Lisa. Robert found an opportunity with Pass & Seymour/Legrand where he continued to build injection molds and tooling. He was a valued asset to his employer and had been described as an Artist of his Craft. Robert worked there until he officially retired in 2020 where he left a legacy and made an impression on those he came in touch with. Throughout his career as a Tool Maker, Robert transformed as a student, at an artist and then on to a Mentor himself, showing others life lessons of hard work and dedication. Robert was full of wit and loved to tell jokes. He was a worthy pool shark and like to play darts. However, his true joy was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle as much as possible. Robert was proceeded in death by his treasured wife, Rhonda Leigh Lundberg, his favorite son Scott Lundberg, parents Roy and Della Lundberg and brother Gunnard Lundberg. Robert is survived by his adored daughters Lori Lundberg Robertson of Stanfield, North Carolina and Lisa Lundberg of Concord, North Carolina; sister Holly Lundberg of New York, New York; grandchildren Robert and Kelly Lundberg of Pueblo, Colorado and Wesley Adams of Denver, North Carolina. Robert is already immensely missed by his daughters, special friend Shaun Dooley and his cat “kitty-kitty”.
