Sandra was born on August 1, 1946, to Joseph R Gathers and Dorothy W Gathers Crutchfield. Both of whom preceded her in death along with her Stepfather William Crutchfield. She departed this life on September 8, 2021, after a long battle with illnesses. She married her Junior High School sweetheart the Late James Leroy Elmore. To this union, 3 children were born. Sandra accepted Christ at an early age. She exemplified her faith throughout her life by her actions and words. “She walked it like she talked it.” She was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Shirley G Chavis, 2 brothers, Elijah R Gathers and Dana E Crutchfield, and her son-in-law, Jerome Gary. She is survived by her 3 children, Kevin L Elmore (Remedios), Kim Elmore-Ross (Michael), and Karla E Gary. All of Charlotte NC. Her sister, Laverne Richardson of New York and Dereck N Crutchfield (Tanya) of Pennsylvania, grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
